Industry-leading maintenance management software provider Fixflo has announced the appointment of Nigel Glen as its latest Industry Advisor. This appointment follows those of Nygel Scourfield and Kevin Watson. Scourfield is the Chief Executive Officer at My Future Living, a retirement rentals company and Watson is the Operations & Commercial Director at PLATFORM_, a build to rent operator.
Nigel Glen, Executive Chair, The Property Institute
Bringing a wealth of experience in the leasehold block management sector, Nigel will work closely with the Fixflo team to develop technologies that assist block management companies in their property management operations. His work will advise the Fixflo product development team on creating solutions that help block managers meet the changing and growing needs of leaseholders and occupiers, with a particular focus on compliance standards, customer experience and potential requirements from upcoming legislation.
Nigel now holds the position of Executive Chair at The Property Institute (TPI), the new body formed by the recent merger of member associations, The Association of Residential Managing Agents Limited (ARMA) and The Institute of Residential Property Management Limited (IRPM). Before the merger, Nigel acted as the CEO of ARMA for six years, as well as founding and running his own property management business for seven years.
Commenting on his appointment, Nigel added, “The work of block management companies has never been more challenging, and I’m delighted to join Fixflo in an advisory role. I look forward to working closely with the Fixflo team to enhance their tech solutions in order to meet and exceed the evolving needs of the block management sector.”
Aleksandra Legosteva, Head of Product, Fixflo
Aleksandra Legosteva, Head of Product at Fixflo, added, “Nigel’s a longstanding contributor and presenter on Fixflo’s popular webinar series and guides. With Nigel’s change in role, the opportunity arose to work with him in a formal arrangement, and we felt it was obvious that we should approach him. Fixflo is already well-adopted in the block management space, and the ever-changing regulatory environment will require us to review our system functionality continually. I am excited to work with Nigel and create tech solutions that truly focus on the needs of block managers.”
