Why did your agency decide to do Fixflo bespoke training?

"We launched Fixflo with our tenants in December, and we spent 3 to 4 weeks prior to that going through the online video training. After that time, it became apparent there was a gap in our knowledge, things that we had not picked up. It became apparent after about a month, that we had bought a Ferrari, and we were driving it like a Fiat. The planned maintenance video, for example, is very in-depth — but everybody learns in different ways, and some of our people found learning from a video very, very difficult. 

That’s why having our trainer Jess come in and spend a day with us made a huge amount of difference. By the time we got to the training, we had a list of of things that we wanted to explore and which we could iron out in one day,as well as chatting, asking questions."

What did the training entail?

"In the training that we've got on the day, we kicked off at 9 o'clock with our trainer. All the team were in here, and it was an all-day session. The training was bespoke, so it was built around our wants and needs more than anything else. 

I spent time with the trainer and my team prior, collecting all the issues that were causing problems, or even the things that we knew Fixflo could do but didn't know how to do it. All that was put together in a training plan for the day. There was quite a lot to pack in, but we we went through it. We had quite a lot to learn and by the end of it, the team came out buzzing, and the next day they were still buzzing. There were things that made sense that didn't before."

How has your business benefitted from the training?

"Actions in Fixflo are a lot slicker now, and we understand what we're doing. For example, we couldn't get our certificates to go through Fixflo and then go back to our main software system Reapit. And so we were having to add things on twice. And it was things like that, that were taking time, and we couldn't figure out how to do it before the training.

We're more confident with Fixflo. We're saving time. And that’s on top of the time we were already saving using Fixflo."

What was the best part about the training?

"The best part about it was the team all partook, they all got their questions answered. For me, on the day. It was just seeing everybody's confidence build and everybody's questions get answered, I think. If they didn't get it the first time, then we’d go through it again until they did so. That that for me that was the best bit.

My advice would be, do the Fixflo Academy video training. If it doesn't quite make sense, if there might be a gap, and you're at a point where you think “I don't know how that works, can it do this? Can it do that?”, that’s when to do Fixflo Training. The benefits far outweigh the cost."
